Ogide Isaac Chimbiko was born on 15th October, 1964 in Akaeze, Ebonyi State of Nigeria. He obtained his first degree from University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1987, a B. Sc. (Accounting) graduating with Second Class Honours, Upper Division. In 1998, he obtained an M. Sc. Degree in Banking & Finance from University of Lagos. His desire for academic excellence led him to further study and graduated he with an M. Sc Economics degree from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Nigeria. He diversified his academic background with a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria in 2006. Mr. Ogide is also professionally qualified with the following qualifications: Fellow, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of  Nigeria (FCA 2002); Fellow, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI 2005); Associate, the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (ACIB 1994) and Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM 1999). 

He started a banking career immediately after his first degree in 1987 with Continental Merchant Bank Plc (formerly Chase Merchant Bank Limited owned by Chase Manhattan Bank of New York). In 1995 he moved to First City Monument Bank Plc and then to Intercontinental Bank Plc in 2002. During this decade and half period, he was exposed to various aspects of finance and banking, such as Financial Control, Corporate Planning, Banking Operations, Risk Management, Credit Analysis, Capital Market Operations, Treasury Management, Branch Marketing and Management, etc. 

He started his Telecommunications career in March 2004 in Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Limited (M-Tel), the GSM Subsidiary of Nigerian Telecommunications Limited, the first National Carrier of Nigeria, when he was hired as the pioneer Senior Manager and Head of Revenue Assurance. He started the Revenue Assurance Unit where he reported directly to the Chief Finance Officer, and nurtured it to a high level. He designed and implemented several Revenue Assurance and Billing Processes and Policies. He reconciled the interconnection accounts position with other operators which reduced the total payable liabilities by =N=2.8 billion (about US$20 million). He also recovered several debts (including those classified as lost) outstanding in Accounts Receivable to the value of about =N=1.5 billion (US$12.5 million) during his tenure as Head of Revenue Assurance Department. The risk based approach he adopted in managing the Revenue Assurance function led to detection and blockage of several revenue leakages in voucher activations, products pricing, interconnection billing and reconciliation, sales collection, credit control, remittances accounts reconciliation, etc. Due to hard work and dedication to duties, he received award as M-Tel Overall Best Staff of the Year 2005. 

In October 2008, he joined the Multi-Links Telkom Group as a Senior Manager, Revenue Assurance. His task was to start up the Unit under the Executive, Revenue Assurance and Cost Management Department. He is currently designing the processes and policies of the functions within the revenue assurance scope defined by Management.  

Mr. Ogide has attended several Management Development Courses and Conferences on Revenue Assurance and Telecommunications Billing, both internationally and locally.  The international courses he attended include: Core Revenue Assurance Skills Course, Cartesian Training, Holborn, London, (September 2006); Implementing Value Added Services to Boost ARPU – IBC Telecom, Golden Tulip Hotel, Accra, Ghana, (March 2004); Thinking in Process in Billing Management – Organised by Pentascope of Netherlands in Amsterdam, (March, 2004); Revenue Assurance and Risk Management in Telecommunications  -  Organised by Vision in Business at London Marriott  Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London, (May 2004) and The 1ST Annual African Telecoms Billing and Revenue Assurance Conference – Organised by IIR Telecoms & Technology, London at Holiday Inn, Cape Town, South Africa, (September 2004).

He is married to Irene Ogide with three children: Precious, Alice and Peace. His hobbies include Table Tennis, Squash, Analysis of Stock Market Reports and an ardent fan of Manchester United. He is a member of the Lagos Country Club.
